Decorative Mulches

(Frequently Asked Questions)

Regardless of whether our customers are ordering garden mixes or soil conditioners, we always recommend that they finish off the application by using mulch applied to the surface .

NB: Gardens should be conditioned prior to mulching. Customers are encouraged to add composted organic matter such as our Botany Humus™ or Greenlife® Mulch & Compost or that they apply a fertiliser such as our Greenlife® `Cow & Compost™' or cow manure and then apply the mulch.

ANL's range of soil conditioners applied to the soil provides long term organic nutrients and stimulates soil microbes and promotes worm activity.

After conditioning the soil, and prior to adding mulch, the garden must be well watered.

All of our listed compost and decorative mulch products can be used as mulching material which help in keeping soils cool, retaining moisture and reducing weed growth. (Decorative gravels can also be used as mulching material).
