Biosolids Composting

ANL's involvement in the composting of biosolids began in 1990 when, after competing with technologies and corporations from around the world, it was awarded the contract by the Sydney Water Board (now Sydney Water) to resolve the problem of disposal of sewage sludge finding its way into Sydney's beaches and waterways.

Our Land Application Division based at Blayney NSW, in association with key composting facilities currently manage in the order of 120,000t of biosolids per annum. The land Application Division manages our Biosolids – Supply and Spread service. This division coordinates our Agricultural spreading services, consisting of a purpose build Vineyard spreader and a 30tonne agricultural compost spreader.

A wide range of quality assured composts products for agricultural crops is available from all ANL composting facilities. Contact details are available via the ‘Nearest Location’ links on our website.

Detailed information regarding our agricultural compost products is located in the Agricultural Products & Services pages.
